Battersea Arts Centre on fire : 80 firefighters at the sceneBy Iain Alexander / 13 March 2015 All performances at the Battersea Arts Centre have been cancelled following a blaze that is now being tackled by at least 80 firefighters. The blaze can be seen for miles and the Centre has reported that all its phone lines and emails are down. According to the BBC, the fire was reported after 4.15pm local time. A black haze of smoke has engulfed part of Clapham as 12 fire engines tackle the massive fire at the theatre. An ambulance duty officer tweeted at the scene that there had been no patients admitted so far.
