Brad Pitt is going to be Angelina Jolie's 'stunt double' on Monday

Brad Pitt is heading to LA on Monday with the brood to help promote 'Unbroken' in Angelina Jolie's absence.

Universal Pictures confirmed that Pitt and the kids would be making an appearance on the red carpet Monday to support Angelina Jolie after she suffered from an outbreak of chickenpox.

The actor has flown in especially to support Jolie who's been at the centre of news headlines this week following an email leak which led to some very unflattering comments being made public about her. The actress issued a video message to apologize for her absence after the setback which concludes a pretty terrible week in the wake of the Sony hack.

Universal Pictures released this statement on Friday to support Jolie's recovery as she sits out for the LA premiere of 'Unbroken'.

“We all wish Angelina a speedy recovery and look forward to her returning to her work very soon. She is in very good spirits, considering after two years of hard work, she will not be there the night it finally premieres.”

Pitt made world headlines at the 'Maleficent' premiere earlier this year when he was 'felt up' by a Ukrainian prankster who was escorted out after jumping a barrier. Hoping to avoid getting touched up on the red carpet from pranksters, Pitt is scheduled to greet fans prior to the film's screening.

The Unbroken red carpet premiere will take place Monday 15th December at the Mann's Chinese Theatre.
