Can Colin Firth win a BAFTA & Oscar, Cesar like Marion Cotillard?

Colin Firth s portrayal of King George VI in 'The King's Speech' won him a Best Actor Golden Globe this weekend, but can he go on to win more?

Not too long ago French actress Marion Cotillard won international acclaim for her role as Edith Piaf in 'La Mome'. The actress, who had worked on many low budget French films was thrust into the spotlight at the Golden Globes, and then the Oscars. Not only did she win those, but in addition, a Cesar Award, France's most respected award for cinema.

Colin Firth is at the height of his career, and his stammering character has captured audiences, and given an insight into something millions of people suffer. It also shows that no matter who you are, human beings have to overcome obstacles in their lives.

'The King's Speech' is up for a massive 14 nominations at this year's BAFTA Awards.
