The new trailer for “Captain America: Civil War” has broken viewership records according to Marvel after it debuted on the Jimmy Kimmel Show.

A total of 61 million viewers tuned in to watch the first teaser which broke the one day record set by “Avengers: Age of Ultron” last year, gathering 34 million views.

The viewership record was also more than twice the figure of the original “Captain America” trailer which could suggest a significant leap in interest for the next adventure which comes out on May 6th next year.
