“For Few Rupees More” is documentary which tells us about these laborers whom you can find in every nook & corner of Kashmir. There are many migrant laborers I personally know who have helped in making this film.

SYNOPSIS: Kashmir has always been tourist’s delight. From ages, tourists from other parts of the world visit Kashmir for its bewitching beauty.
But for last few years, this tourist’s delight has become another Dubai & Saudi Arabia for migrant labour from other parts of India.

“For Few Rupees More” is a documentary film, which tell us about these laborers who come from different parts of India who are slowly becoming part of Kashmir & taking most of unskilled & skilled labour.

Good Morning,

I would like to introduce you to a new up and coming short-film I have been working on lately entitled His’story. It’s an urban eclectic, deriving from South London, yet with a universal, global theme. It’s based upon the ‘laws’ of universal karma (for those of you that believe in it) but reflects on the lives of three individuals living three different lives, but on one platform – the ‘Roads. We Mainly focus on Luc (who survives a viscous attack), carefully unveils the story through his voice over, explaining the before and after-math of several situations and events that occur in these characters lives… mostly to do with a life and death situation…

“karma, universal law drama…”

synopsis :

Three individuals, three different perspectives, three unique lives told from one platform – the roads where well witness, that for every action there is a re-action and that these reactions can create a chain reaction. For some karma was never in their thoughts, until karma forced them into her thoughts…

coming soon

I am currently filming a documentary on plastic pollution in the high seas. I just came of a 15 day sailing expedition from Bermuda to the Azores Islands aboard the Sea Dragon.
I am now in Europe following an Artist who was on board the mission. He was commissioned by the state of Holland to build a life sized reef out of plastic trash he collects on beaches around the world. He joined this expedition in part with the scientists who are conducting the research.

Here is a small teaser from the journey on the boat.

evoking the mystery of love and of loss.
Alone in his home, he listens to a recording of the poem he once shared with the woman he loves (‘Mon Rêve Familier’ by Paul Verlaine, 1866). As he mends his disheveled performance costume, her images and words haunt him.
Conjuring her in memory and dream, she suddenly appears before him. He approaches her, searching, and she eludes him in a sensual dance.
The film uses both dialog and voice over in French, English, and Spanish. And – with its lush colors and stunning imagery – it moves effortlessly between the present, and memory, and dream.

The film, like Verlaine’s poem, becomes a subtle study of man and of love.

LONDON – Synopsis: What goes around comes around? John is a small time crook who buys a gun from the proceeds of a drug deal. Phil and Spooner have their own problems, and to make matters worse they get ripped off. The result, is everyone is after Mickey. But who will get there first?

The Shoe is a short film in the style of Guy Ritchie and Memento, that we are currently taking to film festivals. So far it has been sent to Cannes Independent Film Festival, London Independent Film Festival, British Independent Film Festival, and we plan to sent to many more. The purpose of my sending this is to gain more exposure for the film and hopefully get more screenings.

BRADFORD – I’m a solo artist and I go by the stage name Justiz, I write songs and rap, i’m 25 and have been doing this since I was 13.
When not focusing on my progressing acting career and company, Broken Silence Creations, i’m recording songs to keep up with my music.
I have no access yet to someone who may produce beats for me hence why I am using other rapper’s beats and rapping over them.

I am looking to do this on a professional level, and I have a lot to say but just need an avenue to approach this from, if anyone is interested in working together or wants to know anymore please give me a shout at:

MUMBAI – Starting off at an early age by being attached to his digital camera, Pratik consolidated his interest in the visual medium through courses in still photography, 3D animation and VFX. With a clear and persistent vision of his career path, Pratik joined WWI where he has worked on a wide range of formats ranging from the MiniDV, HDV, DVCam, HDCam SR to 16mm and 35mm film. He is proficient in the use of cameras such as the SONY D50, ARRISR2, ARRISR3, ARRIBL3, ARRICam ST, Sony F35 and Sony F950. His technical education has also been complement by film appreciation where he has learned to watch films and analyze them in the context of transforming his own images into stories.

Given a script, Pratik puts his whole understanding into doing complete justice to it with whatever resources he gets.
In the words of Rajen Kothari, HOD Cinematography, “What do you do when a seventeen year old comes to you as a prospective student? I wanted to turn him down. I wanted to tell him to wait till he turns twenty. He threatened to join a Film School abroad, tenacity and burning desire written large on his face. I decided to accept him; I had to because he forced me to. I had tough time getting others on board. Today as he is about to graduate the Department is very happy with his growth over the two years. He has been a very good student and I am sure will prove an excellent professional.”

In the words of eminent cinematographer, Kiran Deohans, who judged the finalists for the Kodak Filmschool Competition 2009, Pratik Deora’s work was by far the most superior of all. It is consistent in terms of lighting and contrast maintained, from shot to shot, and scene by scene. There’s a certain style and look to the film that is very contemporary, that you see in feature films today. Pratik has tried to work with different kinds of situations, day for night, mixed-light situations, besides dealing with different locations and different styles of lighting. There is a look and feel to the film and overall, the skin tones achieved are good. There is the experimentation, under-water…all that is there. After all that, the whole photography does not take away from the narrative; in fact it supports it so beautifully, that at the end of the film, I realised that I am supposed to judge it for the cinematography and to look at the good things of the work here. Pratik’s work is really great as a Diploma film and one of the finest works that I have seen. He’s a winner….Good luck to Pratik!

NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana is the murder capital of the United States. For the last decade, statistics have shown murder-rates seven to twelve times higher than the national average. Eighty-seven percent of the victims are black males mostly in their teenage years. The city’s greatest neglected crisis has profound implications for the issues of violence and crime most American cities face. New Orleans government, law enforcement, community leaders, and well-intentioned citizens cannot agree on a prognosis or a solution to this situation. Despite all the well meaning intentions, it always seems that somewhere a disagreement is escalating into violence, an execution is being planned, or a victim is taking his last breath, and it is more than likely a youth is witnessing or committing these actions.

Scrub Brush Productions LLC is a New Orleans based company dedicated to producing intelligent, relevant media with a social conscience. They will manage “Murder Through the Eyes of a Child’s” development and production.

“Murder Through the Eyes of a Child” will be a year long documentary where 7 teens from New Orleans Recovery School District make documentaries about their lives and social issues important to them under the guidance of professional filmmakers. Through their footage, we will gain a window into their daily lives and struggles. They will not promote violence nor expect to capture such acts. However, it will naturally be a topic of discussion given the area they live in. Their footage will be juxtaposed with adult interviews to try and understand the real cause of the violence and crime.

While the teens are shooting their footage, the filmmakers will set up interviews with New Orleans residents and local officials. These interviews will mainly be taken in front of a green screen which will then be replaced with images of 2009 New Orleans murder sites. The interviews will demonstrate how the citizens view the crisis and will discuss ideas for solutions.

Although interview driven, this will not be a talking head documentary. Unique New Orleans visuals will be incorporated. Each animated segment will be drawn by a different artist, and will utilize different schemes in order to properly convey the emotion of the memory.

The filmmakers wish to create a way for students in classrooms all over America to utilize “Murder Through the Eyes of a Child” as a learning tool…in two ways. First will be a traditional lesson plan teaching packet. The second will utilize the Internet to create a living, online community lesion. It will make the footage from the documentary available and then link to information significant in each area of study. This will also be a tool for publishing writing, music and film. When students are offered the opportunity to express themselves and participate in the discussion of the violence, they are being offered the opportunity to participate in the solution. The online aspect will extend the life of the project beyond the DVD and evolve, involve, and help solve tragedies plaguing the lives of young people today.

“Murder Through the Eyes of a Child” is a large and multi-faceted endeavor, and for the project to come to a successful realization, the filmmakers are relying heavily on private sponsorship. These gifts can be in the form personal, organization, or corporate donations, product donations in the form of equipment, hardware, or even food. These donations are tax deductible to the extent provided by law through the fiscal sponsor.

Video Veracity is the Fiscal Sponsor. Established by documentary editor Tim Watson in 1993. It is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

In conclusion, Scrub Brush Productions and its partners believe very strongly in the power of documentary to be a catalyst for change in any issue. The aim started with simply educating and being an example for children. From there, it has grown into this ambitious and timely documentary. They seek to do their part in bringing two extremes in addressing the issues into a movement and hopefully rise above and find a solution through the eyes of a child.
