Ottawa based production company Danger Cave Media is currently in production of shooting their Independent Feature Film ‘Day Four’.
We are looking for local independent talent to showcase both in their film as well as on their self titled Soundtrack CD “Day Four” which will be released in limited quantities as publicity for their forthcoming Movie.

How to Participate:
1) Pick one of your ORIGINAL pieces of music
2) Dub your song submission into a video using stills from our film: stills.dayfourmovie.com
3) Upload the video to YouTube
4) Post your video link on our wall,
5) All videos will be added to our “Soundtrack Contest Playlist” on YouTube
6) Send everyone you know to vote for your song!!!
Our production team will listen to the top 40 songs to choose from for our movie.
On March 10th our production team will have chosen the top 12 songs selected to be used in the film!

Plot Summary:
Trevor is in a happy relationship, has good friends and a great job. After being hit with the news of his ex-girlfriend s suspicious death, he is compelled to look deeper. He struggles to uncover the truth: Who was ultimately responsible?
Julie is young and motivated, and has recently moved to pursue the job of her dreams. Complications with work and relationships send her down a path of self-destruction.
Day Four is the non-linear story of Julie and Trevor, two exes brought back together by one devastating event: Julie s death. Our characters two story arcs intertwine, playing out in opposite directions. The result: Two people at the point where they are most in love, but at tragically different times.

Compensation:
As an independent film project there is very little cash flowing for large compensation, we are hoping to create the strongest independent film project possible
a) Music that is used in the film will also be part of the compilation CD “Day Four: The Soundtrack” that will be used for promotional purposes only. The Soundtrack CD itself will not be sold by Danger Cave Media or Indie Buzz Werks, and it will be produced on a limited run of production. These CDs will be sent to all major media outlets, as well as given as gifts at Day Four screenings and The Premier. Each of the bands found on the CD and in the film will receive 25 of Discs for their own promotion or distribution. Band Names and song titles will also be listed in the credits for the movie.
b) The top 4 finalists will receive a monetary compensation of $250 (per band) for their performance.
