Schumacher tributes pour in

Michael Schumacher, world renowned F1 racing driver is in critical condition after hitting his head on a rock while skiing in the French Alps.

The former F1 champion was skiing with his son when he went off piste and hit his head. Schumacher was wearing a helmet at the time of his fall, and he was immediately attended to. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated through the night with a second operation carried out to stop bleeding in his brain .

Journalists and entertainment figures from around the world have been holding hope that the F1 icon can recover from the serious injuries he has sustained.

Former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff issued a tweet earlier to his 500,000+ followers following the accident, wishing the F1 driver well by asking his fans to support him in their thoughts:

 

Other icons from the entertainment industry, sporting brands and close colleagues have also turned to Twitter to wish the racing legend a quick recovery.

It is believe that his situation is very dangerous, and top brain surgeons have flown from Paris to Grenoble to assist in his ongoing treatment.

Michael Schumacher's career as a F1 racer took the world by storm, and captured millions as he won consecutive years at the Grand Prix. He has also made cameos in documentaries and Hollywood films :
