Disney confirms Harrison Ford will return to Indiana Jones 5

Harrison Ford is going to be in Indiana Jones 5
Disney has confirmed Harrison Ford will be back in "Indiana Jones 5" with Steven Spielberg directing.

The fifth instalment of the franchise will be released in the summer of 2019, and will be produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.

Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn made the announcement and confirmed that Spielberg and Ford would be teaming up for what could be the last film in the franchise.

Prior to the release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” there were rumors that Spielberg was preparing to work on “Indiana Jones 5” and confirmed last year he couldn’t envisage doing it without his pal Harrison Ford.

Ford’s return to the big screen in Disney’s “Star Wars 7” reignited the debate whether he could possibly participate in another Indiana Jones sequel after the big disappointment of the 4th instalment.

According to Deadline, George Lucas will not be involved with the latest sequel which will come out 38 years after the original “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” which was first released in 1981.
