Drew Barrymore officially becomes a blogger

Drew Barrymore has expanded her artistic skills by deciding to become a blogger and an 'Editor at Large'.

The talented actress, who's been in some of Hollywood's most successful films, announced her very first blog post on Twitter, to the delight of her fans.

In her first article for Refinery 29, Barrymore discusses the art of cuisine and how she's always romanticized about cooking but has never been able to deliver a good meal. In fact the actress gets quite upfront and personal about her past cooking abilities and states : "Everything I touched in the Kitchen turned out crappy". She then goes on to explain that she can cook for kids and,"...even the odd surprise for me and my husband." Barrymore also offers readers an in-depth look at her breakfast sandwich recipe, providing an informative breakdown of her simple-to-make treat.

So far, her online written work has amassed over 3000 likes on the website alone, with some great feedback from readers.

Although this is not the first time we've seen a well-known star turn to the blogosphere, Barrymore's desire to write and to share her insights, has evidently further boosted her connection with fans.

Other actors who blog include Pierce Brosnan and Alec Baldwin. Eva Longoria is also one of the most socially active stars online.

Drew Barrymore will be back on the big screen later this year in 'Blended', opposite Adam Sandler, which hits theaters in May:
