George Clooney, Matt Damon the last to work with Soderbergh

Steven Soderbergh's retirement is coming and his last two films will star Matt Damon and George Clooney.

The highly respected filmmaker behind the Ocean's movies, Traffic and Erin Brockovich has been not only been an inspiration to his crews and actors, but to film students and up and coming talent. Spanning a 25 year career, Steven Soderbergh is at the forefront of Hollywood filmmaking but alas, he has no more passion left in him.

Understandably, there comes a time when people need a change in direction, whether it be their professional or private lives. The Man from U.N.C.L.E will star pal George Clooney whilst Matt Damon and Michael Douglas are cast in Soderberg s final film : Liberace .

Hollywoodreporter : "When you reach the point where you're like if I have to get into a van to do anther scout I'm just going to shoot myself, it's time to let somebody else who's still excited about getting in the van, get in the van. And so it's just time. For the last three years, I've been turning down everything that comes my way, so you're not going to have Steven Soderbergh to kick around anymore

What will Soderbergh do next and will it involve the film industry or will he go on a completely different path?
