Just released petition gets 6k signatures
A Detroit resident has launched a White House petition demanding the Government to ban Justin Bieber from the country and revoke his green card.
The petition speaks on behalf of the citizens of the U.S and demands outright that Justin Bieber be completely removed from society.
As of right now, the petition has already gained 6300 signatures in just a few short hours. It will take a total of 93,000 more signatures before the White House will officially respond but given the huge media whirlwind surrounding the pop star, we could see this reached by the end of the weekend. So far Justin Bieber hasn't addressed his latest brush with the law or spoken with his fans on Twitter about his recent antics.
Justin Bieber has the legal right to work and live in the U.S, but has Canadian nationality.
The petition states:
"We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society."
This is not the first time we've seen a petition being launched against a celebrity. Piers Morgan and Donald Trump have faced similar boycotts in the past, but for Bieber, this comes at a time when even his own management are seriously concerned.
