About the project
Jason Turley created the first festival in Melbourne, Australia in 2007 with the first Sexy International Film Festival premiering in Melbourne in 2008. A tour followed of London, Paris, San Fransisco and New York with a showcase of the best films from Melbourne. In 2009 the French version of the festival was established to focus on primarily Francophone content as well as devoting sessions to internationally panoramas. Despite the many film festivals around the world, and believe me, there are thousands, few focus on these themes in one festival – Sex, Sexuality, Love and relationships, and in particular France, the sexiest country on the planet, which is why we believe this festival is perfect for Paris.
We will bring together cinema, performance and music for four days of screenings, music, and performance all exploring Sexy.
LE GRAND ACTION CINEMA
5, rue des Ecoles, PARIS 75005
Our program for 2010 is huge with more than 50 films in our programme. Along with our Francophone and International shorts programme we are also hosting retrospectives including a panorama of Australian short films, and a programme of Francophone Women in Cinema curated by Pippa Rimmer. On top of that we have French premieres, live music performances and soirees all themed to something sexy, which is sure to entice all. This is an ambitious project, and with your help, we can make it happen and keep it happening every year with even more wonderfully high quality sexy films and live performances.
EVEN THE SMALLEST DONATION HELPS!! As this project’s term extends beyond the Festival end date, we will be modifying our awards program after the Festival.
