Megan Fox, Vin Diesel top actors on Facebook

Megan Fox fans will be pleased to know their idol is top of the Facebook charts just ahead of action star Vin Diesel.

Social media plays a more important role in ‘measuring fame’ according to Forbes than ever before. Both Megan Fox and Vin Diesel are two completely different entities within the film industry, but command a huge following of fans.

How come other actors like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie don’t even get close to these two, who both have over 25 million fans on Facebook alone?

Does Facebook really define one’s success by the amount of likes in a fan page? When it comes down to it, does Megan Fox, or Vin Diesel have that extra something that other successful figures don’t?

One thing they both share in common is that they have both featured in huge action blockbusters. For Megan, the Transformers made her an international star, whereas Vin Diesel recently made a big ‘explosion’ at the box office with ‘Fast Five’ alongside pal Dwayne Johnson

Young people are not interested in Angie and Brad. They preach “saving the world” and then go out and fill it with an extra 3 kids. And you’ve gotta admit, they are more than a bit crazy. Vin, on the other hand, doesn’t preach to us. His messages are postive and uplifting and his movies are fun and light-hearted for the most part. I’m proud to “like” Vin Diesel.

Wow Helen, bitter much? I can’t speak much to Megan’s popularity except my daughter likes her because she is pretty and seems to be fairly independent. She might not be the strongest actress but, as far as I know, she doesn’t have a sex tape out nor are there nude photos of her anywhere online. Similar to what Reese Witherspoon said at the MTV Movie Awards the other night, good girls can win too.

And as for Vin’s popularity, I’d attribute it to the fact that he controls his page and speaks to his fans with a level of positivity and support unseen anywhere online. There is a real message to fans of every age to be confident and supportive of one another. I’m not a fan of Megan’s online but I do follow Vin and appreciate what he shares. Angelina and Brad choose their own ways to set examples but given the fact that they are busy raising six kids, I’d assume they have their hands full. Will Smith recently began copying Vin by managing his own page and it is nice to see real actors interact with fans.

Such a great comment! That’s an excellent point in regards to stars managing their own pages. Nothing beats being yourself and being able to reach out to your fans. It’s an unethical process in my view for publicists to do ‘PR’ comments for their stars on fan page or other websites.

      So well said, Helen.

Easy. Because kids on facebook want to see Megan Faux’s photoshopped pictures and read her idiotic quotes. That’s all they care about. She is the one who created this “sex symbol” status of herself BEFORE DURING AND AFTER the Transformer movies. So blaming it on Michael Bay makes her look stupid, when clearly she did it herself, and I’m sure she is aware that she injects her own face and lips, and got a nose job.

Do you think that having plastic surgery was going to make people think she’s trying to get away from being a sex object? Yeah… the opposite!

Her photoshoots, sticking her tongue out, posing with her legs up in a tutu, etc. or whatever. The stupid things she has said like strangling someone like a mountain ox, I’m really a man, lol, please…… She is an attention whore and she can’t act, so all she can rely on is taking sexy pics, saying stupid things, cussing, and anything else that teenage boys will like. The woman has never had acting lessons. She cannot act. So everything she tried to build didn’t work and all of her movies have bombed. Transformers was popular because we want to see cool looking robots and action! So now she is trying a different approach. She is trying to change the way people perceive her, because she knows that people think she is an idiotic, oversexualized bimbo. But she did it to herself, and only has herself to blame.

Real people (meaning…. adults) are the ones who are going to see Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s movies, because they can ACT, and they make exciting, blockbuster movies. All teenagers care about is seeing pictures.

So no, facebook (obviously) does NOT define one’s success in Hollywood. Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt have proven that for many years. I hope this was helpful. Thank you and goodnight.
