Mel Gibson’s ‘The Beaver’ Gets world movie premiere at SXSW

DALLAS, USA – Mel Gibson will re-enter the spotlight at this years SXSW festival with the world premiere of The Beaver directed by Jodie Foster.

Whilst still recovering from last year’s controversial ordeal, Gibson has been laying low as he gets back on his feet and into films once more.

The Hollywood actor at the height of last year’s ordeal was praised by Jodie Foster, who supported him throughout the leaked rant controversy against his former girlfriend. Foster directs and co-stars with him in their latest collaboration.

Mel Gibson, one of Hollywood’s most successful actors, not just in front of the camera, but behind the lens, will get his big chance for a comeback this spring in Texas.

The SXSW is a melting pot of musicians, filmmakers and everything in between, and is one of America’s premiere music festivals. It is also one of the largest and most respected in the world by the indie artist community.

Featuring performances from the biggest artists and film premieres and music video screenings, there is plenty to do at SXSW in 2011.

The SXSW festival will run from 11-19 March this year in Dallas.
