Mel Gibson praised by Mending Kids charity and gets counselling

Mel Gibson's recent plea deal means that the actor has to do 16 hours of community service at the Mending Kids organisation but the actor is already receiving praise.

Parents at the organisation have already voiced strong support for his work as Mel Gibson has used his fame to promote the Charity and thanks to his donations, kids were able to get vital operations. This included the son of parent James Nicol. His soon received a life transforming operation to fix his spinal chord, something his parents could never have afforded. The specialist care that kids get from this organisation dramatically improves their quality of life.

The community service is just one part of the plea deal reached including a year of counselling to help Gibson 'refocus'.

It may be time to give Gibson some breathing room as he gets treatment and starts to rebuild his own life and career.
