Mel Gibson, Sean Penn, Colin Farrell reach out to Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen's continued meltdown was a hot topic on Piers Morgan Tonight, but the 'Two and a Half men' star has bigger problems.

Critics and friends have weighed in on what can be done to help Charlie Sheen. Some are calling him delusional while psychologists weigh in. Sheen is likely to suffer from a bipolar disorder, aggravated by his drug use and his excessive partying lifestyle.

While he publicly condemns all those around him that supported him throughout his career, the star seems to have lost touch with reality. From studio executives to his own publicist, it would seem he is on the defensive from everyone.

Although Sheen may feel unfairly treated by all around him, criticized for being himself, what he fails to realize is the overwhelming evidence that something is wrong. Denying one's own problems is also denial to face reality, and people do actually care for him.

Sheen claims that Gibson, Sheen and Colin are radical people but the star had much respect for them.

The star is no battling to get his paycheck for unreleased episodes of Two and a Half Men , but Sheen would be wise to listen to his friends and seek help.

Sean Penn :

"When you divorce the moral judgments, which I prefer to do, I see a guy who has a clearer view of the nature of the world around him than is sometimes comfortable to have," Penn said. "Those are the sort of people who have a tendency to find altered states. But he's a very ironic character. He's got pretension in the crosshairs of his wit. I think to a large degree he's saying, 'Guys, we're only going to be here once, so lighten the f*** up.'"
