Lars Von Trier created a firestorm in Cannes with his nazi remarks which sidetracked the global press on his latest movie ‘Melancholia’. Does this take the director to new heights?
Kirsten Dunst and Charlotte Gainsbourg star in this latest thriller as two sisters whose lives began to twist and turn as the ‘The end of the World’ draws near. Certainly for the director, his world ended in Cannes when he brought Hitler into the mix, but Melancholia may enthuse critics who felt his previous outing in ‘AntiChrist’ went overboard.
Melancholia will be released November 2011 in theatres.
Cast: Charlotte Gainsbourg, Alexander Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling, Kiefer Sutherland
Director : Lars Von Trier
