President Barack Obama will address the American people on immigration reform at 8pm ET. You can watch the live broadcast of this speech below which will air uninterrupted.

The President will discuss his plan on immigration reform and the steps he will take to fix the system which has needed a radical overhaul for many decades.

Tonight, many major TV networks have declined to air this historic speech despite its huge importance, and the actions taken by the Obama administration will have a defining impact on millions of families for years to come.

It is estimated that there are approximately 11 million people in the U.S. today that have no status. Many have been hired by American employers under the radar, in breach of U.S. labor laws.

In retrospect the President is expected to discuss the issues of border security, visas for foreign citizens, the issue of undocumented immigrants being able to earn citizenship, and a fairer system that also prevents employers from exploiting loopholes.

The President's plan will be put into place without Congressional approval which has been met with a furious response from the Republican party.

Earlier this week, actress Diane Guerrero penned an article on the LA Times where she spoke about how she came home one night to find her house empty. Her parents had been deported to Colombia while she was attending school at the age of 14.

After struggling for years throughout her childhood, Diane almost never saw her parents. She had lost her family as a U.S. citizen due to immigration laws. Her story is not unique, and many others have been waiting for years for a solution, which may have a real chance with proper immigration law reforms.
