Well I was born with a rare disability known as osteogenesis imperfect aka brittle bone disease. Even though there are many types of my condition it’s still is something that’s hard to live with. Such as me being unable to find work because, I have limits on what I’m able to do. I broke a lot of bones I’m my life I’m only 27 but I really feel much older since I constantly have aches and pains from all my injuries I have had. Finding work is hard since most jobs don’t understand I have limits on what I’m able to and that I need frequent brakes since I have aches and pains threw out the day from doing normal things which normal people wood have no problem doing from lifting reaching standing sitting walking bending etc having no job means I have no insurance and some one with my condition should have insurance it’s a must. I applied 4 times to receive social security benefits and been denied all times. Since I have no work history I work one job bout 5 years but it was under the table. My condition makes me very depressed making me not want to be social or interact with anybody being scared of going out and getting hurt and not having insurance. Since I have no insurance to be properly treated if and when I injured my self so I stay home. I hate feeling this way I wish I could be like every one else or in better words accepted and not different from regular 27 year olds. My mom had this same condition but both my parents passed away bout 10 yrs ago. I can go on and on but I hope you get this email from me and understand how I must feel wanting to do something with my life and be active and enjoy life even writing all this hands and wrist fingers are getting sore. I was told I have signs of arthritis. I’m still young 27 but feel like I’m in the 60s constant pain hope this email gets to you Oprah god bless I really think what you do for alot of people is really awesome!!!!!!!! ANYONE IN regards to my dad on more wish resources for a adult last wish program. My dad is a Hospice patient, and has a last wish that has been denied by the Adult Dream foundation in Ca., and social worker from Emerald Coast wrote in his home chart that they will not be able to grant his last wish. The social worker stated From Emerald Coast Hospice that he could only get a fishing trip or lift chair only. How can you limit someone’s last wish? Why call it a Last Wish! Say you can get this or this, and not ask for the patients last wish, and now my dad is disappointed and heart broken, and has given up hope on his last wish, because his social worker said she could get and now cannot and gave him false HOPE. Now, I am a daughter stepping in the middle trying to help my dad, and social worker, because; I feel like I have to try, or I will regret this for the rest of my life.
We are just honest hardworking people that enjoy the simple things in life. We are the kind of family that if we had the money would we spend our last penny to help him. We are the kind of people that would rather be broke and happy eating tators and biscuits to make his dream come true. We have about 1500.00 saved up that we saved as a family, but that is not enough to buy a used RV/Travel Trailer that is his dream to leave the old house barn with pull string lights and travel and  live in Used RV by the water fishing and creating meomories with his family. My husband and I got married it will be 6 years next month
and we bought what we thought was our dream home in August 2007. The house had
set empty for 4 years and needed lots of TLC inside which we gave to the best
of our ability. It wasn’t long before we found out that we has serious problems
with the roof. We were told that the roof was only put on 4 years prior to us
getting the house, which they were right. The problem was that the sisters
hired someone that was cheap and he and his WIFE very cheaply put what they
called a roof. We did not have the money to do a home inspection before we
bought the house and since it was a extremely dry summer we saw no signs of
leaking. Even the man from Wells Fargo didn’t catch it. My husband was disabled then
and is worse now, so I was the only one working when We applied for the loan.
As of today I am having to apply for disability because of multiple health
issues. I am 55 years old and have worked faithfully since I was 14 years
old.   I have been faithful to GOD since 1994
and helped build 2 churches. My pastor told me I had a shepards heart when I
cried I didn’t have any talents. I didn’t understand it at first but once I did
I quit my job and took another job taking care of mentally handicapped patients
to give back to the community. You see, my sister and her oldest daughter are
both mentally handicapped, my dad wanted me to be a nurse and my age I knew
this was the closest I would ever be to fulfilling his dream. Now my dream is
to finish living in my 87 year old dream home with a new roof. It has 2 saddle
roofs because of a built on section. I asked a contractor how much and he said
about $20,000 because they would have to take off the 2 saddle roofs and just
make 1 whole section to make it right. I know that you help people and I hope that you can help us. If not maybe you can get us in touch with someone who can. I would love to see you in person someday.
I LOVE GOD with all my heart, mind, body and soul.
When GOD lays something on my heart I listen and sometimes we question our own
selves and our abilities, but GOD has never been wrong and never will. He is my
everything, my whole life, about all else. I have 2 children, 12 grand children
and 1 great grandson but GOD comes first and they all know that. His spirit
lives within me and guides me every day. I will help anyone and everyone that
needs help. I will have your meals ready when you come to work on my house because
I have been cooking since I was 8 years old and I can cook anything.  I will feed my people just like GOD did

I have always pictured you as someone who people listened to and, well, I have something to say.  Facebook….I think facebook is a travesty, did you know the sign in page alone has over 32 viruses a day.  Not only that, but the big thing about facebook was to see who could get the most friends, and now people I know have hundreds of people they dont know as friends and whats worse is every picture they take from either there mobile phone or camera ends up on facebook for everyone to see. Anyone whos anyone can see pictures of my kids, my neice, my nephew, my entire family because all of them facebook and all of them put pictures on there I am unable to spread the word of facebooks demise through my voice so I was hoping you would be that word to the wise person we all know you can be. Please, help me make people recognize the idiocy that is facebook. Either way to all my friends to all my family this is my farewell to facebook.

How do I begin. Our lives are a mess right now, my husband and I. We are at wits end. My husband is at the end stage of COPD, enlarged prostrate and diabetic. He was on hospice at our younger daughters house. We had been living in Florida for 16. Years.decided to stay in NY when he was hospitalized in
01/20/2011.he was admitted with pneumonia and not urinating for 17 hours. His lung collapsed in hospital.after hospital he was admitted to rehab then sent home (daughters house) 04/02/2012. In hospital he got the Cdiff infection twice. Once home with hospice doing ok,then the Cdiff came backhand to go to hospital. Our daughter came down with Cdiff,semonellapoising and fungus spore. Cannot go back to her house, canno afford nursing home and they want to release him from hospital.we need help desperately. I am at wits end. Hospice will not admit him into there facility. I am afraid to take him back to Florida, don’t think he can take the trip. PLEASE HELP, I am going crazy with not knowing what to do. He is 75 and I am 73. We have a little money, but that will only last a few months. We live om 2,200.00. A month . 1,000.00 goes toward maintenance and health insurance. Rest is for elec.and essentials. I l;ove Ophra. She is the public person I love most in this world. I think she is brillliant and she is the ultimate role model for all women but for Black women especially. I am writing to say one thing however – her programs have too many commercials, too, too many commercials. I understand the revenue they generate, but enough is enough. I watch the life classes and there are too many commercials. Yes, they are brilliantly positioned but there are simply too many of them. It was the same with her show that I also loved and miss.

I met my husband in may of 2000 he was shot 2wks later and I almost lost him because he almost lost his leg and he said we couldn’t betogether if that happen. I made up my mind that no matter what we would be together forever no matter what happens. 12 years later we are still together. It has not been easy with all the up and downs and there have been many. Even when he was injuried he kept getting up. The last big thing was when I was injuried at work and then for long time it was tough even for a while when my son and his family wife and 4 small boys had to live with us and my daughter in a two bedroom apt.Me and my husband on disability and now 6 more mouths to feed we public assistance to help with that then my husband and son started doing small side jobs to bring more money in and then we hit another wall my husband was diagnosed with kidney failure. So, it was really hard for us all to be in the apt together and my son and his family moved in with his wife’s family to relive some of the financial burden. That really broke my heart because our grandchildren were in Texas over 2000 miles away. Thing are getting a little better with my husbands health and we would like to have my and his family come back but finding a place to leave is really hard. If you know of any agencies that would help I would appreciate it because we need our family back.

I need your help desperately! I am a single mom almost 45. I have a part time job with the school district as a para-sub, working with special need children. I also do child care at night for my friend who works nights at our local hospital. My friend and I used to live together so I have been with her kids since they were born/adopted. There is a lot Id like to explain because I’m asking for help but I don’t want to bore you. My entire life I have cared for children in some way. I love kids, they bring so much joy to me, from the kids I gave birth to, to the kids I’ve adopted/fostered/cared for, to the special needs kids I work with. Well about 7 years ago my best friend and I bought a home together we had already been living together about 12 years. The house has 5 bedrooms and a family room. We needed a big house, I had 2 bio kids 1 adopted niece and Sandy had 1 bio daughter and we adopted her great niece. About a year after buying our home Sandy’s special needs niece had yet another baby, and we were overjoyed to get him at 3 months old. We struggled financially but got by. Then 2 years ago Sandy decide to move out, it was very sad but i guess she needed a break. I have her kids most of the time as she works nights at the hospital and needs extra sleep working that shift. And honestly I’m like a second parent to them. I was there from day one and this is best for them. In the mean time my son who is now 20, blessed me with 2 grandkids. the first one a boy my son has because his mother chose a life of drugs and crime. Then my son found a very nice girlfriends who was 1 month pregnant from a rape, so being like me he has accepted the baby as his own, my grandkids are now 20 months and 6 months. They all live with me now but would love to be on their own soon. Well trying to get to the point, with me having almost 4 years of sever stomach pain and 2 surgeries and Sandy moving out my income went down to almost nothing, and my house is in foreclosure. I’ve been pretty worried about where we will go. My older kids will be ok but what about the little ones, 2 of them being slightly special needs. It has been a dream of mine to someday have a bed and breakfast. We live in the perfect place to add another one in our town. At first I was thinking that me and the 3 little ones could share the biggest room and turn the rest of the house into the B and B, it would be a full time job for me and I could finally keep up on bills. Then I found out that the small 2 bedroom home next door will be for sell in a few months. That would be perfect for me and the kids and then use this entire home for the B and B. I would be able to make enough in the summer to pay the whole years mortgage and bills. And during the winter I could still work at the schools and be able to rent a few rooms. We are an hour away from Forks home of twilight, We are minutes from the Olympic National Park, beaches mountains and a ferry away from Victoria British Columbia. I know I could make this work and I’ve been praying everyday for help to make my dreams come true and help me keep these kids that so depend on me. Otherwise foreclosure and homelessness is close. I have lost my job because of illness and have applied for SSD. Because of my job loss, i have lost my vehicle and a friend lives with me to help me out, or i would be homeless. Why does it take so long to get it done and why can’t I find any help in the meantime? Arizona has changed their policy for state medical so because I have no children, I am unable to obtain medical. The world, and our country have an overpopulation problem yet we reward people for having children. I have been without medication and medical care (except all my ER visits and hospitalizations) since August 2010. I sit here and suffer and become more and more depressed in leu of being sick. I have teeth infections, lupus, DJD, IBS, asthma, DVTs, PEs, fybromyalgia, I must wear 9 braces, DCD, SAD, migraines, memory loss, TMJ; my jaw is not connected, non-healing wounds, depression, nodes on my kidneys and in my lungs, neuropathy, constant various severe pain daily and much more. Dear Oprah, I am so glad you are not going to forget all your fans. You have made millions of people very happy, with your bubbling smile and the kindness of your heart when it comes to people. Not to mention the people you have reached out to help in very bad time. I can not get a grip that I am sending one of the worlds famous Icons an e-mail. I have tried for so long to be able to send you a letter. But as I sit and type to you, my heart is hurting. Because I have a heart breaking story to share with you. I just turned 49 this December. My husband of 5 years, it would of been 6 this December 31,2012 divorced December 14th 2012. When I met my husband my dad, had found out he had ALS / Lou Garrets. He died Fathers Day of 2005. I had planed to sell my place along the river due to the fact I was afraid I would not be able to finish building on it. It in fact was my 1st home ever. When the man I married started dating he talked me in to keeping my house, and said he would help me finish building on to it. At that time I wanted so bad to finish it before dad died, but that did not happen. So not only did he die, but after 3 months we were married my home was hit by lighting in March 2005, and burnt to the ground. The Ins. Company we had covered all of our things. We did not rebuild there. Instead we bought 5 acres with a home on it. Then not long after that my husbands daughter at the age 5 was hit on her bike by a man talking on his cell phone while driving his truck. We were in debt at about 300 thousand dollars medical bills. We ending up filing chapter 13 and then a 7.This was hard for me and I have never had to bankrupt before. But him on the other hand had, he married his first wife after a year he filed bankruptcy then filed a divorce a year later. Although he was married to me longer the pattern is so clear now. Well to make this story short after we divorce, he tried to take everything away from me. The courts awarded me the house, but it is so far in debt to the bank I could never get it out. I only have 18 months to figure out what i am going to do. I work for a school as a para w/ handicap students so I think you can figure I don’t make much. Oprah I am so scared and don’t know what to do. Please any advice you can give that I have not already thought of would be a blessing for me at these troubled times. So many days I wish I was with god, cause I am tired of hurting, struggling, and feeling I have wasted so much of my life because I loved and trusted to much. I hope you are well and doing fine. I have watched your shows and I think you are a true humanitarian. I hope everything gets better for my husband and I. This comming new year. It has been really hard on us. We have been married for about 17 years now. Amazing we are still togeather after all we have been through. I recently retired. It has been hard and not easy not working. It was either retire or loose my job. I could not of afforded to loose my job. At least they gave me that option. I miss some of my work. But not the drama and the stress and how they treated me. Noone liked me where I worked. It was different hanging out with some of them from work and I thought we were friends. But I found out they were not. I miss getting paid on the 10th and 25th of every month. I now get paid at the end of the month and it is not very much. I have to pay for my own medical and dental for both my husband and I. My husband gets alittle comming in. I see people from work I used to work with. They are not very nice to me. They all had higher paying jobs then I did. It makes my husband and I sad this year. This is the first year we cannot afford Christmas. We have not got a thing. I do believe. Both my husband and I. He is 11 years old and will be 12 on November 29. We just need help. We just find out that he has type 1 diabetes. He is requires for injections of insulin per day and blood sugar are monitored up to 6 times per day. We just moved into our own new home. I want to help homeless people during the winter cold nights, by providing indoor shelter to individuals and families that are currently living on the cold streets of Los Angeles. My goal is to raise money for tent structures capable of housing 75-100 people at once. These tents are weather proof, and will also be provided with portable heaters and M/F changing stations. Illegal Adoption

I haven’t seen my daughter in four years because her father held her from me, I finally filed for visitation and was informed she had been adopted by her father’s wife how is that possible. Not once was I informed of these Proceeding or contacted. How is that legal to adopt some one whose parent is still living and able to be a mother to their child. I never gave her away or signed anything to that effect, I very much love my daughter and want to raise her I gave birth to her and would never turn my back on my baby. She has sisters she know of and one she has yet to meet. I need help figuring this out no one will give me information like I’m the bad one. Please if their are resources out there that can help please let me know, I am willing to fight for my daughter.

I grew up in a home many years ago, you may have heard of the home, (Miracle Hill Childrens Home)my brothers and I went there after our Father shot and killed our mother in front of me. I was a very scared little girl, and after I left the home and lived with froster parents, I meet the man that I married and we were married for 26 and half years he cheated on me and didn’t care about me like he should have, I have lived in this home now for 21 years, and I have remarried to a wonderful man that loves me, unlike the first husband whom I still own the house with for 21years, the courts let him get away with cheating on me and everything, and not caring that I have been paying the payments for the past 9 years, now he is wanting to force me out of my home, just to make a long story short, Please be in prayer for me, that since he is trying to take me back to court and make me sell the house or give him 34,000.00 dollars, which I don’t have and when he wouldn’t help me pay for the house he shouldn’t be allowed to get anything from the house in these last 9 years. Just need help in prayer and your other people on here reads this story and believes in God, please help me pray for a miracle, I have an attorney, but he isn’t returning my calls, but he took hard earned money from me and hasn’t done anything for me… My ex is saying that he can put me in jail for contempt, but it also says on the divorce decree in is suppose to pay half of the mortgage and he hasn’t, I would think that he is in more contempt than me, but I don’t wan’t to do anything to him, even after all the years he was mean and lieing to me when he was cheating on me, for all the years before our divorce….. Hi my name is alice i am 15 right now and heres my story.
my mom left my father when i was 3 because he was an alochlic and a gambler , he was such a bad gambler we struggled for food and so my mother left him. he died on april 3rd . then my mother remarried , at first he was nice and very kind but as life went on he got very strict to a point if we didnt wear socks in the house me and my older brother would get spankings and so on when i was in grade 3 my mom left him and we moved to edmonton with the help of my grandma and grandpa and for a couple years my mom struggled with paying rent and such , in grade 5 my brother got us kicked out by throwing rocks at a vehicle and we got help from our grandparents again . once we had moved into a condo our grandparents purchased it was easier but my brother started skipping school and staying home all day , no matter how hard my mother and grandma tried he would not go the school started threatening us saying we needed to do something about him and started to charge us for everyday that he missed and while he was staying at home he would bring girls over and tons of friends, sometimes i was afraid i wouldnt get in the house after school becuase he would lock me out and i would wait till 6-7 pm till my mom got home and let me in, he would do this even during winter and then he started to make huge messes in the house, the messes were so overwhelming after awhile it was like we couldnt get out , like we were being crushed by the mess he made with his friends . it got so bad i wouldnt bring over my friends and shut them out . he started going sometimes later in the year and he would steal my friends by saying they couldnt hang out with him if they talked to me his little sister and of coarse since he was more popular i lost my friends, i soon got behind in my school work by trying to earn my friends back and after that i felt it was helpless to even try so i started to skip and then i realised how easly a freindship can vanish when we dont keep in contacted. then my brother got worse he would leave the oven burners on all night to a point i could smell it if it was on for to long , he brought over tons of friends and fed them our food and once he got mad at me so he locked me and my friend out in winter for hours we had no were to go and we were’nt wearing very warm clothing so we tried sitting near the house to keep warm and wait for my mother to come home and let us in, but that didnt last long him and his friends started throwing food at us from the window so we ran . we got soo cold we dicided to go to the corner store which was 15 monutes away when we got there we borrowed the phone there and got a ride to her house , once we got there we got a phone call from my house… it was my brother he was threatening to harm the kittens my friend had brought over , she was crying and upset by 6 my mom was home when i got a ride there , me and my friend went upstairs to my room which was trashed, posters were burned ,carpet was burn’t, my clothes were ripped up ,make up was guagde up and all over the floor , things were missing and my friends stuff was stolen after the discovery we told my mom , angry she went to the basement(his room) and saw 13 large holes on the wall from a crow bar , he said he did it cause he was mad and since he is 16 she couldnt punish him only threaten to take his stuff away . we also later discovered after we had got the kittens back he had tryed to die thier fur with hair dye. soon i thought going to school wasnt worth it because my brother was often bought stuff to bribe him to go things such as hair dye, clothes , games and shoes but even when i did go i got nothing so i thought if i did what he did i’d get stuff too but i was wrong i was ignored by my grandma . soon i got in the habit of not going just staying home reading manga and watching anime on my moms rented laptop to run away for reality . i even gave up on having privacy my brother was constantly stealing my stuff over and over agian my mom got fed up and got me a lockable door knob and it toke only 30 when i was out with my mom till the time i got back my door and door knob were destrod and i had no door knob for a year. this is when i met up with my old friend amber , she has a family of 9 poeple including her but theres a twist her mother abuses her and gambles and her father is an alcholic i offered for her to live with us since we had an extra room and she did for 2 years but in the begining she was nice and good to me we were best friends then it happend my mom told her i couldnt kick her out when we were in a fight after everything changed i felt like she was stealing my place in my home i didnt know what to do she was prettier ,she went to school, nice to my brother and had friends but soon my brother started stealing from her ttoo and she left of her own will. yes and in grade 7 i was diagnosed with scoliosis and was told not to do gym until we figure out how bad it was but my teacher had different ideas and forced me to do gym anyways i told my mom and we didnt know what to do thats when that skipping got out of hand . in grade eight i gave up school but in grade nine i felt the need to be better than my brother and tried to go by then i was put in the safe place class , safe place is where kids that need one on one help and got it but i started getting sick in the mornings (puking) and was sent home right in the morning i soon felt like i couldnt go because it would be sent home .at home was no better it got to a point where our water was turned off but our grandparents didnt come to our rescue this time we couldnt take baths , wash dishes so we bought plasic ones my brother decided he didnt need to use them so the dishes piled up it got so bad i was carrying everything i needed in my bag with me 24/7 i even slept with it like my mom slept with hers , in my bag i had all my make up, hair brush , tooth paste , toothbrush , some clothes, plastic forks, plastic spoons, plasic cups , plates , bowls , and sometimes food becuase i didnt know if i would have a clean dish to eat off of or even food to eat and even when we did have water i would smell the dishs before hand ,sometimes he waste soo much like hed make 4 boxes of mac’n’ cheese and have one bowl same with soup , hed warm up microwave meals then forget them when we got more food the food he kept in the basement would be switched with the new so we would think it was new eat it and get sick because it was bad even in grade 7 he was fooling around with bear mace our stepdad had and we accidently brought with us and sprayed me in the face with it i didnt even get a sorry . once he even abused a cat i had rescued so i gave him away , hed put wine in thier water bowl or lock them in places .my mom got tired of all that ^ and got him to see someone and he was diagnosed with conduct disorder so we fogave him but it just got worse soo bad that when my mom got him cort orderd to be assesed i they told her he was old enough to choose if he wanted to be assesed or not and then later phoned saying the enivroment was so bad they might have to take me away so pretty much what they said was you might be taken away becuase your own brother and on top of that when he had 13 people over he had the nerve to lie to my mom who was at her boyfriends and i told him if she phoned back i was going to tell her everything and then he said “whats wrong with having a lil fun?” and we got into a heat arguement on how he should treat our mom and i was saying she could kick him out then he fires rent on time unlike mom i got agry and we fought some more till he drew the the straw and threated to call socail services on me i called mom and she came home. soon after we moved leaving him there but our grandma said she wouldnt let him stay but what could we do ? and im scared of him i once found three baby bird wild ones of course they fell out of thier nest i tried to put them back but it was too high for me and they were to young to live by themselvesso i toke them home to raise them the but then they died all on different day but in messed up ways it looked as if they had been stepped on and someone tried to cover it up. our grandma still thinks we are horrible people but right now i feel safe and have a house ,im homeschooled and have one best friend but i feel useless when im here or like im in the way, i dont want to say my life is horrible or my family and im not asking for sympathy really i just want to get this off my chest and get some advice on how to earn back my friends and make myself usefull.

My granma came to get me at age 16 where she told me the checks will run out when I turned 18 so at the age of 17 I was forced to leave and back to the streets again, I soon turned 18 and not to much longet after I found the covenant house in hollywood,ca. Watching Oprah’s Oct. show on “Intuition”, I thought was an example of the vital role our perceptions play in life and was amazed how individual’s different perspectives according to one’s direct experiences and books read vary. My research on the brain, hemispheres and direct experience, I believe, has taken my perception beyond Oprah’s ideas of “intuition.”

I registered for college after 30 years to find my concentration abilities were zero and then joined a metaphysics group that promised to teach concentration, meditation, telepathy, clairvoyance and dream interpretation. My skepticism of the teachings was monumental and I became determined to know the truth behind metaphysics as I delved into strict meditation exercises and read other’s writings so as not to be mesmerized by one guru’s thinking style.

Meditative discipline brought forth an enhanced awareness of the “intuitive gut level messages,” telepathic thoughts that I recognized were not my conscious thoughts, strange visions, and symbolic dream messages which I came to understand was communication from the subconscious mind mode , i.e. Higher Self or the Soul.

My strange mysterious occurrences pushed me to research the brain, hemispheres, visual system, mind and dreams. I came to understand that the subconscious mind mode commonly communicates via the intuitive gut level messages and if meditation is practiced to quiet the conscious mind mode then the intuitive messages become more profound and begin appearing as telepathic visions or thoughts from the subconscious mind or commonly referred to as the Higher Self (soul mind).

One exceptional vision I had occurred on a one hour drive through Indiana’s corn county of a “deer” which I knew was a telepathic intuitive vision message/warning from the subconscious mind mode. I slowed down from 65 to 50 mph and ten miles down the road a deer indeed leaped in front of my vehicle as I slammed on my brakes and avoided hitting it. I thanked my soul for the warning.

My meditation skills grew, my intuitive awareness became acute, and my subconscious soul messages via dreams showed me the negative aspects of myself that needed eliminated to gain coherent hemispheric balance. Gaining hemispheric energy balance so my conscious and subconscious minds could work together coherently, the subconscious messages began to help problem solve my visual experiment mysteries, told me my life’s purpose that resulted in my website with a divergent theory of vision – ” a different direction in holography for science to study, analyze and develop a new holographic microscope. And my purpose was to write my story to show humanity the vital role our perceptions play in life using my visual experience as examples.”

For the last 11 years I have ran a small paint company out of my home and have not done too bad. Winters get a little slow but I always make ends meet. I am writting to ask for help. My Dad passed away September 16, 2011. He was the heart and soul of our famiy. Both of his parents are gone so being the oldest of six children, he was a father figure to more than just his own six children. He was a great man. He was a giver and a helper to all. Even in death, he donated. Yes, despite his many health problems. He was an organ donor. But because of those many health problems, he could not get life insurance. We have split the bill between those of us that can contribute, but none of us can afford the over $10,000 that it takes. We are looking at losing our vehicles and/or homes in order to to pay for final expenses. We have set up a benefit fund at The First National Bank of Kinmundy in Illinois to except donations. My 2nd Chance to Life
My name is Ntimbwe Mpamba. I am a vibrant young Zambian male aged 28, living positively with the HIV virus. Being a student at Zambia Centre of Accountancy Studies, I have joined the S.H.A.R.E.S Zambia where I have discovered that I have the ability to motivate and give hope to someone who has lost hope in life due to stigma in society.

My story began in mid-December 2004 when I relocated from mother Zambia to RSA. As I was enjoying my festive season, I was attacked by a persistent cough that would not go. I tried medication after medication, i.e. tablets, syrups and even herbal ones. But this to the cough was a share waste of time. I was later taken to General Practitioner who assumed that it T.B I told him that I already had T.B as a young boy. To him that was more noise. After taking the five day sputum test, he discovered that it was negative. He was astonished and decided to take an x-ray. What he discovered was the beginning of my downfall.
Apparently the x-ray showed a full right lung and a quarter left lungs. He was freaked out that he couldn’t believe his eyes. All he could do was to admit that what he saw was something new that couldn’t be explained. After prayer and fasting for seven days, my left lung healed. I went back to the GP to show my improvements. Two x-rays were taken just to prove the impossible.
Herpes was the next illness that introduced itself to my body. The worst part of it all is that it took my entire right eye. Pain was the timetable for the day. I was referred to a specialist who gave me the worst news anyone could ever hear, “take the dead eye out.” Being a pirate was something I did not agree to. I refused and told him to do what he could, the rest I would live I God’s hands. My faith in God got my eyesight back. At this time, the world wouldn’t handle me, reason being that I had conquered illness. I became so confident that I never had the time to analyze where and why those things kept attacking my life.
Upon taking the HIV test, I was brought back to reality. The question was finally answered; my immune system was low. As a curious individual, I asked how bad it was; CD4 count – 36, viral load – 1, 000, 000 t. That news didn’t scare me until I heard the average human statistics, CD4 count – 800+, viral load – non-existent. My mind became so blank to his words because it kept counting the difference.
I was introduced to ARVs to which I responded very well. I gained some weight and my health got better. When my CD4 count clocked 490, I got too excited and played around with medication; I would drink them at my own time. Little did I know that it would be the beginning of the worst. The virus had got hold of the drugs and became resistant. As my joy was turned into sorrow, I was referred to five different specialists. The last one just told me to go to a government hospital where I would be treated for free. To one it was a bonus but to me it meant one thing; they failed and didn’t want to be blamed for my death.
I got to the government hospital and was met by a young doctor who was a trainee. He was shocked and amazed because I was dancing in the hospital. He asked me several questions that didn’t make sense because I was sent to go and rest in peace in the hospital. I had given up in life and hearing medical language was the last thing on my mind. We took a walk to the senior doctor who had his own part of questions. I was interrogated for 15minutes till they got tired of asking questions that didn’t get answers.
A new drug under experiment was introduced to me. I was the happiest man known to man. I was going to be one of the first to be on a drug that was known to the public. “Famous” was the only word that ran through my mind. The self-esteem that disappeared before came back with a force greater than that of a volcano eruption. I was on top of the world and saw this as a turning point for the best. A new day had come because my heart had remembered all things that God had done for me. I was given a 32 paged letter of consent which I signed without reading because I knew God had one it all for me on the cross of Calvary.
After 4 weeks of taking the new drug, my health improved with a bang. My skin was smooth, my weight was good and the best news of all was that I had trusted in the Lord and never doubted this power. My viral load was undetectable and CD4 count had gone 186. The doctors asked me if I had known that the drug would work, I boldly answered “yes!” I told them that I had the papers to make them believe in the experimental drug. I was given a news title from that day. I was no longer a ‘patient’ but was considered a ‘blessing’.
NB: “I was sickened but did not die, I was crushed but not destroyed, I was pushed but did not fall, yet it’s true that I am alive because greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world.”
I BELIEVE THE WORLD CAN HAVE AN HIV FREE GENERATION IF WE STOOD UP AND FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT TO MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE TO BE POSSIBLE.I UNDERSTAND THAT WHERE THERE IS A WILL,THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Mrs Winfrey, Me and my loving wife Deborah have had good jobs but recently we have fell on hard times but in those hard times we raised five kids my dream and her dream is to go back to school I want to be a sports caster but I have an old student loan and back child support that I’m current on but my kids are grown and im still paying. Dear Oprah, You are beautiful!, I know that because me and my mother watched you for many, many years. Why you are ' beautiful is because my mom was paralized from two strokes and could only move her left hand and her head. But the one really big thing God gave her in that state, was to say just ONE word. " Beautiful."
Think about it, if God could only give you one word for the rest of your life, and he chose the word "beautiful," that was the best word .We would watch you and she would point to you and call you "Beautiful" and she said that looking at you, with a big smile.
