Acting legend and funny-man Robin Williams has been found dead after a suspected suicide attempt.

The 63-year-old actor is reported to have died following asphyxiation in tragic circumstances that are currently being investigated.

Williams, who starred in films such as 'Mrs Doubtfire', 'Good Morning, Vietnam', and 'Good Will Hunting' was found dead at his home on Monday.

The actor's iconic career and incredible talents will be greatly missed by millions around the world.

His publicist issued this statement via EW a short while ago following his tragic death after suffering from severe depression:

“Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late. This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.”
