The Star Trek – Star Wars rivalry is going to be back in full force next week with trailers set to run in screenings of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
The feud between the two fandoms has already begun thanks to actor William Shatner’s proud admittance that he wears the Star Wars “troll mantle with honor!” John Boyega called out Shatner directly and said that he should “Take a seat. Have a nice tea and keep your mouth closed.” Will Captain Kirk keep quiet or is this just the beginning?
“Star Trek Beyond” trailers will run during screenings of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in a prime-time slot before other movie teasers giving audiences a full Trek experience minutes before the film they actually paid to see. This could result in some in-theater trolling.
Here’s what a Star Wars vs Star Trek trailer experience looks like:
With record viewership expected for screenings of “Star Wars 7” fans have already started to wait in line at theaters across the US with tickets sold out and hype near fever pitch. Others have publicly stated what they will be wearing on the day the film screens:
Im going to see the new Star Wars dressed up as a Storm Trooper.

“Star Trek Beyond” is not scheduled for release until July 22nd 2016, but who could resist putting those trailers out now for the Star Wars fans to enjoy?
