NEW YORK, USA - Pop singer Taylor Swift will perform Today was a fairytale at the 52nd Grammy Awards show this coming Sunday. The teen sensation is nominated in 8 categories and will battle it out with the likes of Lady Gaga and Beyoncé Knowles.
The now infamous Kanye West diss was one of the biggest entertainment stories of last year and boosted Taylor Swift s rise to international fame. A media leak also showed how US President Obama felt about the incident. Despite the unpleasant moment, Taylor triumphed at the 2009 MTV VMAs.
This past week, over 100 celebrities from music and film took part in the Haiti telethon appeal organized by Hollywood actor George Clooney, who was notably exhausted at the end of the epic broadcast. The show netted a record 57 million dollars after 24 hours and was reported to have been accessible to some 640 million viewers around the world.
Swift took part in the broadcast by taking calls from donors, amongst other music and Hollywood stars including Mel Gibson and Steven Spielberg.
