The Filter Project – Help Fund Our Short Film

Filter, a narrative short film in pre-production, shares a day in the life of a woman suffering from body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) as seen through her own eyes. BDD is a disorder in which one is consumed by a non-existent or greatly embellished defect in one’s physical appearance. BDD often causes severe emotional pain and can lead to isolation and self-harm. This disorder is rarely discussed in mainstream culture, much less filmed. Filter hopes to break new ground and help raise awareness for BDD. Filter is written and produced by Riayn Fergins, and will feature a score by singer/songwriter Ivana XL.
