Tom Hiddleston won’t be Bond, or so it seems

Tom-Hiddleston
Actor Tom Hiddleston has addressed the rumors surrounding his potential casting in the next James Bond movie.

After Daniel Craig turned down nearly $100m to star in the next 2 films, Tom Hiddleston was considered a front-runner for the role. The actor recently addressed the speculation that he would be cast as Bond at the Wizard World Philadelphia event stating:

“I’m sorry to disappoint you everybody…I don’t think that announcement is coming.” - Tom Hiddleston

Director Sam Mendes also revealed last month that the next choice for Bond would be made by Barbara Broccoli and that the process wasn’t “a democracy.”

Actors Idris Elba and Damian Lewis have also become favourites among the public but any speculation or popular vote by Bond fans would not sway the final casting decision. When Daniel Craig was first announced as Bond the actor faced strong opposition. He turned out to be a great choice and starred in 4 successful films including “Skyfall,” which grossed over $1 billion worldwide.

The next Bond outing will also have a new director as Sam Mendes won’t be returning which raises speculation that the new films will be heading in a new direction like they did after Pierce Brosnan’s last outing in “Die Another Day.”

Who do you think should replace Daniel Craig?
