Wesley Snipes and Mel Gibson to make a comeback in Expendables 3?

The absurd cast of 'Expendables 3'

Wesley Snipes and Mel Gibson have been off the radar in the past few years. On one side, Snipes has been in jail for tax evasion, while on the other, Mel Gibson's career has taken a dive since his public feud with Oksana Grigorieva.

Both actors have an exceptional history of past success. Gibson used to be the biggest action star in Hollywood. He was the 'Lethal Weapon', while Snipes made a splash in the 90s, with films like 'Passenger 57', and continued on with the Blade Trilogy, which was also a successful franchise.

While both actors may have disappeared in recent years, 'Expendables 3' might be the perfect storm for their action screen revival.

Starring Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford and Antonio Banderas, the third installment of the franchise will once again follow the journey of Barney Ross and his gang of action heroes.

Will the success of The Expendables franchise lift these 80s and 90s stars back into the spotlight?
