Will Smith & Jay Z 'Annie' remake loses film director Ryan Murphy

The 'Annie' remake, produced by Will Smith will not be directed by Ryan Murphy after talks broke down over what may be creative differences.

The film will feature music from Jay Z and is set to mix talent in both the music and film industry including Will Smith's daughter, Willow Smith. Will's last outing as producer in 'The Karate Kid' was a huge success, and although he may not have a director now, someone is sure to step up to the game.

Ryan Murphy directed Julia Roberts in 'Eat Pray Love' which earned over $200 million at the box office and is behind 'Glee' and 'Nip/Tuck' series. Who could the Smith's envisage to replace him in their latest onscreen production?
